XD||EGEMAC’s Mobile S/S Projects
Mobile substations are commonly used when it`s necessary to supply electrical power to a particular project as temporary solution till having the main substation is constructed or upgraded, During Mega projects execution period, emergency weather circumstances or for emergency needs to supply occasional loads for events or additional consumption in a specific area or supply remote places can’t be fed from the power grid.
Mobile substations can be assembled, transported, and operated in a short time with a minimum space available without civil work and with lower cost and operating effort in comparison to the regular substations.
A mobile station is a fully self-contained trailer station consisting of H.V & M.V switchgear, transformers, and outdoor equipment, along with metering fixtures, protective devices, auxiliary feeding equipment, and lightning protection.
XD||EGEMAC had successfully supplied fully operational & functional 5×60 MVA mobile substations in Egypt for the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) under a contract signed in April 2019, within a 6-month completion period which had been completely fulfilled
The five mobile substations are currently operating successfully in the Egyptian power grid and are distributed as follows:
One 220/22/22 kV substation in Marsa Alam.
Two 220/22/22 kV substations in Barnes.
Two 220/11/11 kV substations in Toshka.
XD||EGEMAC believes it can provide a full technical solution for the implementation of other mobile substations with different loads and capacities fully customized to meet the client’s requirements and compatible with IEC standards.
